Top languages to get jobs in IT companies

If you are new to the software development field , the toughest part is to deciding where to begin. There are tons(a few hundreds) of programming languages to choose among, each with their complexities and procedures.

But as you begin your journey as a software developer, you will automatically start discovering the programming languages that are most suitable for you and fits your interest and career goals.

Selecting the language of your interest depends on these major factors:

  • That which type of work/project you gonna do?
  • Is it the best language to solve that particular problem?
  • Choosing wisely that which part you gonna choose Frontend or Backend these two things rely on that ,are you more creative thinker than solving logic, like you are great in mathematics which helps you to solve real world problems with algorithms
  • Or does the chosen language have scope in future or not?
Top 5 Programming languages to be learned in 2019:
Growth of the major languages in last 5 years.

This is an objective and practical review of the current state, tendencies, and safe near-future predictions of the IT industry at the start of 2019.

I am trying to clear that which programming language makes the best career path, developers typically look for these three traits:

  1. Maximum no of jobs.
  2. Highest salary packages.
  3. Easy to learn and and tendency to increase in demand in future
So let's List it down:

1. Python

Yes python holds the 1st position in the list there are so many factors which puts the python on the top of the list.
we've named the most obvious bright sides of Python. All these benefits made the language super popular and because of them, huge multinational companies chos

Python was first released in 1991. So we’re not talking about something new in the market. However, Python’s experienced somewhat of a boom in the past years.

WHY PYTHON IS A GREAT FIRST PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE

Python does some things amazingly well.
  • It's easy to learn, so it's great for people with non-tech backgrounds.
  • It's emphasis on clarity and readability makes it fantastic for groups, and easy to maintain over time.
  • It's mature enough that there are no glaring holes in its design.
  • By and large its community is active and helpful, and pythonistas generally have a pretty good reputation.
  • It's versatile; you can do everything from web development to scientific modeling, and all of those things have well supported tools.
  • Python is fast to write. Because everything is so straight forward you can churn out an entire project in a weekend.
Another point worth mentioning is the wide collection of standard libraries and additional packages. A library is like a collection of “books” that extend your program’s functionalities and help you solve specific tasks with Python. This makes it easier for even beginners to start working on practical projects early on. To mention a few, take a look at these:
  • Pygal, a data analysis and visualisation library for interactive SVG graphs
  • matplotlib, a plotting library popular among data scientists and academic researchers
  • Pygame for developing games
  • Django, a framework for developing web apps, easy to learn, a great alternative to Ruby on Rails

2.JavaScript(JS)

  • Putting the JavaScript on the top of the list, because JavaScript is a multi-paradigm language that supports many different styles of programming, including functional programming, procedural programming, and object-oriented programming.

  • It is easy to use and has the ability to deliver quickly
  • It uses an event-driven, non-blocking I/O model making it perfect        and efficient for data-intensive real-time applications that runs across           distributed devices

There are two domains in the IT industry that is in high demand:
1. Web development
   a. Front-end developer - HTML, CSS
   b. Back-end developer - MongoDB, Angular.js, Express.js,Python, .NET etc.
   c. MEAN Stack developer - MongoDB, Express.js,AngularJS,and Node.js
2. Data Scientist - the ones who are experts in mathematics, statistics,                  Algorithms, code, R and Python

 Conclusion

JavaScript is undoubtedly one of the most popular languages in 2018 and beyond.
It's hard for a language of this caliber to stand high in salary rankings as most of the surveyed positions may be junior. Unlike less popular languages, where senior positions are more significant percentage of the whole.

3. Java

Java uses a compiler, and is an object-oriented language released in 1995 by Sun Microsystems. Java is the number one programming language today for many reasons. First, it is a well-organized language with a strong library of reusable software components. Second, programs written in Java can run on many different computer architectures and operating systems because of the use of the JVM ( Java virtual machine ). Sometimes this is referred to as code portability or even WORA ( write once, run anywhere ). Third, Java is the language most likely to be taught in university computer science classes. A lot of computer science theory books written in the past decade use Java in the code examples. So learning Java syntax is a good idea even if you never actually code in it.
Java Strengths: WORA(Write once, run anywhere), popularity
Java Weaknesses: Slower than natively compiled languages

Java has a number of things going for it, though:
  1. It’s a relatively simple language, esp. compared to the likes of C++, C#, Swift, Kotlin.
  2. It has an enormous user community and, hence, an enormous body of knowledge.
  3. It has an enormous ecosystem which feeds into its enormous versatility.
  4. It has an enormous base of legacy software.
  5. It is the enterprise standard programming language, the way COBOL was 30 years ago.
  6. There are far more jobs for Java than for any other language, according to Indeed.com.
  7. It runs on billions of devices around the planet, including Android. Java is very strong in the embedded space.

4. C++

C++ changed very little in popularity from early 2017 to now. An extension of the old-school “C” programming language, C++ is usually used for system/application software, game development, drivers, client-server applications and embedded firmware. Many programmers find C++ complex and more difficult to learn and use than languages like Python or JavaScript, but it remains in use in many legacy systems at large enterprises.
C++ is known to be a very powerful language. C++ allows you to have a lot of control as to how you use computer resources, so in the right hands its speed and ability to cheaply use resources should be able to surpass other languages. Thanks to C++'s performance, it is often used to develop game engines, games, and desktop apps. Many AAA title video games are built with C++.

C++ is very complex:

Since C++ is rather lower level, the language is huge and you will need to handle a lot of complex things such as memory management and more. You also need to write a lot of code before you can get a working prototype if you're planning on building an app from scratch. Since it will be difficult to grasp how all features in C++ works, you can easily shoot yourself in the foot.

C++ is not easy to maintain:

C++ needs a lot of code, which means you need a large team to scale a C++ app, and from a time and financial investment point of view, C++ not easy to scale. Also, since you have to do a lot of things manually with C++, it's easy for less experienced or less skilled developers to introduce errors into the code base. Java was developed because so many professional developers were making mistakes, so in terms of talent-recruiting, a very skilled and experienced C++ developer may be hard to find and also expensive to afford, which is why C++ is not so scalable.

5.C#(C Sharp)

C# is a language for writing .NET applications. It is not exclusive in this role (Visual Basic, C++, Java, COBOL, Python and Perl, among others, all have compilers that generate code that runs inside a .NET runtime), but it was created specifically to support features found in the .NET development platform.

It was designed by Anders Hejlsberg, famous for his creation of the Delphi programming language. It is standardized by the ECMA and on its way to standardization by the IEEE.
